About Dave Neary
As part of the Open source and Standards team in Red Hat, we help make the communities that Red Hat leads and participates in successful. My focus is on SDN and NFV, collaborating internally and externally on projects and initiatives including OpenDaylight, OpenStack and the ETSI NFV ISG.
Before working on SDN, I helped grow the oVirt community, launched the RDO community distribution of OpenStack, and open sourced the ManageIQ cloud management platform.
I help organisations understand the dynamics of free software communities, and help them navigate the minefield of license compliance and community development.
At the intersection of software development, marketing, and community collaboration, I work to understand how our users adopt technology, and how to enable a community of engaged users to participate in the co-creation of excellent projects and products.
